However, it's based on mutual respect instead of top-down hierarchical approach only. Another important feature of a horizontal approach, which is a constant in Freire's method, is that the content is built accordingly to the student's cultural and social context (eg addressing specific oppressive structures in their context). One cannot really establish education as a libertarian tool adopting a hierarchical approach. Now, if one don't aim to apply a libertarian approach of education, I suppose that being trained to repeat content elaborated by others is not a problem. ;) Axé! Oi,
